Description
Well, I did the whole reverse the lead vocal thing and then added a bunch of loops and samples and played some acoustic guitar and bass guitar. This is pretty much influenced by The Books, who I've been listening to lately. I do like these sort of sound experiments, and I probably laid it on a bit thick, but I wanted to do something different!

Wicked
Makes me feel like I'm tripping in a Japanese garden. Excellent soundspace/textures/environment you've built. I'd like to ride in that boat. Great remix, Jim.

thanks!
You'd ride in that boat even though there's that pesky fly?
I wonder where I got some of these samples? Probably http://www.soundsnap.com/

Thanks!

That was an unexpected pleasure
to be sure. I totally expected a more straight up read of the song and you took it a million miles away. It is indeed different. And very cool. Thanks, Jim, for putting your touch on our song.

Wow....
I love this! Trippy collection of sounds and atmosphere. I really like the addition of the acoustic guitar against Lisa's voice.

Very nice!!

This is a "10" on the creativity scale! (Maybe "11"). Really interesting sound environment, very cool take on the original.

Very trippy
There's a kind of order-within-chaos thing going on here, with the sounds just floating in and out of each other through time and space. Or something like that. Very creative anyway, and very listenable, and the fine quality production makes full use of the aural space available. Nice work Jim.

Trailing Vines
This is very interesting, because like other people and you I definitely got the imagery of a boat ride, listening to this. For me it was through a tropical landscape, with vines trailing in the water and (completely non-poisonous because this is my fantasy) snakes slipping from the banks to swim along my boat. I'm just wondering if the boat comes from the music or from the suggestion you planted with the song image. I suppose it's impossible to know at this point. I just know I love it.

I like it when you go out on a limb like this, very much, because you always come up with something inventive and original, but also incredibly listenable at the same time. This is something I could play for my hippest friends, but also my mother and be confident either audience would enjoy it.

The fly doesn't bother me, because I have mosquito netting around my boat. Thank you for doing this remix, Jim. I REALLY enjoyed it.

Very cool
A trippy take on the song, with some very cool sounds going on throughout. I like the acoustic guitar keeping the whole thing grounded. Nicely done. Peace.

Goin' fishin'....
...are we?

Not too thick for this boy's taste. .I like the way the voice hides, comes out into the open, and then hides again...like the rowing of that li'l boat you've got there...

I like the Books, too..
