Shuffle Thanks Vic, The presupposition here is that when I listen to songs, I rarely pay attention to the lyrics (no offense to anyone--that's how my brain works). In "stacking" the words, I am somewhat forcing the listener to do the same: ignore the words, hear only the sounds. As far as shuffling, that's about right: I didn't put too much work into being crafty with the exact start of each text chunk, just a nudge hear and there until it sounded happy. AAAAAAAAH! Where's my comment? I dropped by here after having a conversation with another macjammer about how cool your mix was, especially, to see how your mix was doing and I don't see the comment I left here last week which is very upsetting, especially considering how much I love this one and how much I've been playing it since you first posted it. Sigh. Well, the gist of what I thought I had posted was that it goes without saying that this is an incredibly imaginative way to use the vocals and I guess I'm kind of like you that I only sometimes pay attention to the actual lyrics and only really find out that I haven't been paying attention when I try to sing along to a song I SHOULD know really well but then find out I don't know at all. Also, I just love the way this swings. You and paddler both gave me a groove that I don't naturally have and I love the entire vibe and flavor here. I've been listening to it a lot.
