Description
The first version of this song with lyrics was a bit tame, so I beat it up a little in Logic to make a hotter more aggressive mix. I think I want this one to be the one to stand the test of time.
Just to give credit where it's due, the lead guitar part in the break and at the end were done by Dick Langford (DWL) who lives in Merry Ole England. And a very fine job it is too. Thanks Dick.
I deleted the other version but left the groove only version intact.

Lead Guitar parts played by Ed Wemmerus & Dick Langford
Verse 1
Walked into a nightclub, - just to listen to the band.
Brought my Telecaster with me, - but I did not have a plan.
Got a whiskey from the barkeep, - stood and listened while they jammed
told the man I'd take another, - as I sat in with the band
Set my whiskey on a table, took my Tele out the case
plug in to an amplifier - and then began to wail
Sayin' I'll take, I'll take some Funk on the Rocks if you please.
Verse 3
I was siting on the bandstand , sippin' whiskey on the Rocks
My lady threw me out, then again that ain't no shock
Playin' guitar for a living, you get used to bad news
But the toughest part of all, is when I cannot find my muse
She's the only one that knows me, she can understand,
What it means to be a guitar player in a Funky band
And to sit here on this barstool, sippin' Funk on the Rocks
Yeah sittin' on this bandstand sippin' Funk on the Rocks
I'll take some Funk on the Rocks if you please Mr. Bartender
Yeah, give me some Funk on the rocks .......
