Description
So - Chaz and I have got 10 or so songs together which feature his fiddling playing (called On The Fiddle) and wanted a song to finish the album off.

One way or another, I'd say this does exactly that........

Lyrics
Chaz sings on this one - so I'll have to translate from his strange Northern dialect, which may take some time.......

Can't take too much credit.......
I think I may have made the tea on this track - my partner in Cadman (Chaz) did Vocals, Mandolin, Guitar and Fiddle on this.

One of the great things with Chaz is that he'll often come up with something outstanding . As you say, you don't get to hear Mandolin, Fiddle and wild distorted guitar too often :-)

I think it makes a great closing track - and I'm very glad you liked it!

wow
what a crazy jam. really interesting blend of styles and instruments. for some reason it's reminding me of Morrisey (the vocal melody), but I like him. Only thing i would like to see is a little more bass. I'm listening on a laptop though, so that could be me. cool beans guys.

Bomb da bass.........
Hi,

"Crazy Jam" - I like that description a lot! Hot buttered Toast with lashings of Crazy Jam please......

The Morrisey Connection must be because Chaz comes from the NW of England as well - I'll have to post something up with both of us singing so you can see the difference.

Re the Bass - I think you're right and I know that Chaz is working on 'Mastered' version of all the On The Fiddle tunes, so hopefully this will be sorted out at some point.

Anyhow, thanks for the comments and thanks for listening.

Jamming
Love the fiddle sound. Works really well with the guitars. Michael is correct about the bass, that level is low. Not sure if it is the bass track or the equalizer on the whole song. Super performance.

Thanks
Bill

Bass-less :-)
Hi,

I love the fiddle sound too - so much that we decided to do a whole collection of songs with that as a linking feature - On The Fiddle. We're recorded them all and once we've finally, finally, decided on the final mixes and then mastered them, I think we'll probably print a few CD's just for fun.

Thanks for the comment about the bass - it will be corrected in a final mastered version. Hopefully :-)

Very glad you liked it - I don't think that - errr - hybrid sound is everyone's cup of tea.

Great!
Love this folk-rock. Music reminds me a bit of Leif Sorbye & Tempest.

Cool fiddle and mando gents!

Be well!

Problem is..........
Thanks - really glad you liked the track.

Never heard of either of the two you mention; must go and have a listen.

Ah - well there's this: http://www.last.fm/music/Lief+Sorbye

Cool - but it demonstrates the old problem that it's really difficult to do folk rock and *not* sound like Jethro Tull :-)

Whooo!
Great double-necked electric (I recently got mine back after a period of extended loan) - and the name of the song. Sand Witches? Or is is sandwiches? Love a band with a sense of humor. Nice sound too, so thanks for that link.
