Lyrics
FRIEND.

Have we lost our way my friend?
Have I been gone that long?
The words you sang and the notes I bent
Were we truly so wrong?

Our wildest dreams now have faded low
The earnest plans and the seeds that we sowed.
The drunken nights and the days so slow
Live deep in my heart from long ago.

The girls we shared and the souls we bared
The tempers that flared and the fools that we dared.
The hearts that we spared the vows that we sweared
Over now but we always cared.

For what we had when the lights went down
Battling a disbelieving town.
All for one and one for all
I looked for you to break my fall….

ANOTHER SURPRISE
Good Writing (as Usual!)
Fine Production and instrument voicings.
Good story, well told.

For a Rocker, I'm starting to think you started out as a Folkie!

Compliments and Regards,
Cooper

An Old song?
I know that it is a new song but it has the feeling of a song that has been around for centuries with the universal feeling one pal can have for another when they have been in the "trenches" together.

Another fine posting.
