Groovy
Nice guitar work in here, AND I don't know how you did it, but I can't even hear that crazy loop in there - great job, nice cool funky goin' on here...

Whatcha Gonna Do
...when the MacJammin' Super Loopers come for you? If you're Dr. L, you get soundly beaten, thrashed, thumped, whaled, whacked, packed up and racked up, slapped up and stepped down, ground down and kicked to the curb as MacJammers flood you with smokin', livin' music hotter than Louisiana asphalt!

Awesome piece of music, Phil - slick guitar sliding around that hypnotic rhythm works very well, and I love the there-it-is, there-it's-gone style of how the loop is folded into the mix. Nice work!

This is a hit!
I don't know much about 'modern' musik but this sounds pretty MTV friendly to me! I've been getting down with flavours all afternoon to this (.....oh, shut up Dolby, man!).

The b.vox are great and the rapping sounds tip-top. Really enjoyed.

Funk-a licious
Way to beat the devil out of the evil Dr. LIOLI, Phil. Love the feel man this is some Funky Funk and very cool. You Da Man my friend.

That's the icing on the cake and the last nail in the coffin. And late is good man, cause in case he's thinkin' he's gonna get back up, dust himself off and have another go at it, you just beat his sorry A-- back down again.

Very cool track Phil.

HQ has given me orders
to commend you on your attack on the Evil Dr. Those orders where not needed, as I was about to congratulate you on your supreme effort anyway.

Until we no for certain the status of Dr. LIOLI please you eyes open for trouble and you musical skills at the ready.

Guitar
Great guitar work, good tone also. One suggestion, while soloing try not working over the vocals. You have a cool part in the middle (1:45) where the vocals run for two bars and then there is no vocals for two bars. Take those two bars of no vocals and run with it. That way you are not taking away from your sweet vocals.
Hope this helps! I enjoyed the piece, thanks for your hard work. . .

Hey Scaustrita!!
I am going to hold on closely to your words of advice. Thanx. I've been hanging out on your page and bro, your stuff is so sweet, I got to brush my teeth and check my blood sugar after each song I listen too. I am going to borrow your technique and see if I can make it work for me!!!

Thanx for popping by here and listening!!

This works well.
Your spoken word intros remind me of a group from Portland Oregon called "5 Finger of funk". Nice groove and as I'm finding out from listening to more of your material. The deadly guitar styles are always spot on.

So far, 2009 has been a rough year for me.....recording wise. I've been having issues with my 8-year old eMac. It seems that the simple act of plugging my guitar into GarageBand causes the computer much stress, resulting in it not recording a single ... [see more]
