Description
An offcut of sorts. I wrote this song having watched HBO's "From The Earth To The Moon" TV series in one sitting. Having been born a few months before the first manned moon landing its always been a part of my life, from sitting on my father's knee to watch Armstrong step out, to the Apollo Crew badge stickers that adorned my bedroom door as a 5 year old. I have great admiration for the USA's achievement in this respect and it makes me long for those days when adventurers and pioneers reached further, higher and for so much more than we seem to today.
The song is me and guitar, no adornment and no arrangement - as it came.
I put together a video for this, just to see if I could synch the images and music. You can see it over on Youtube at http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Pi-k_hTS2PA

great concept - I think everyone born in 69 was marked in some way by that event. I like the first line - 'a flash of light, and your up there' ... great image. As you know I like your voice - it has a ringing quality that not many people have. i'd like to see what this ends up sounding like as a finished product.
