Well spoken!
I'm impressed. Thanks for the piece of art. You skillfully project the meaning behind the words.

The bit about you being a god of the universe who blasts lightning bolts from his tongue and stomps when he steps is powerful. I have a question for you. If you're a god, how come you couldn't even fathom how good that poem would turn out until it was already written in front of you?

Point being, we are "gods" in a sense, but not in the same sense that a real "god" IS. We don't have control over our art in the same way that a real "god" DOES. Thoughts come to us as "accidents," like the accidents in history and evolution you referred to.

Or are these accidents really gifts from the one true "god?"

Very compelling. Thanks again.

thanks!
thankyou for the thoughtful feedback!

As far as your question. . . I was really just looking at it from the perspective of creation. as the author of any piece, written, spoken, visual, etc., the world created in the medium is the work of the author. . which in that sense is divine. whether or not the author is getting these thoughts or ideas or inspiration from a higher being, or "true god," as you say, is another question altogether. I know the idea has been around for a while. . my most recent recollection of encountering it was with Miguel Unamuno's novel, "Niebla."

also, the question of divinity is complicated by the idea that ("if a tree falls in a forest. . .") if a piece of art is created, but never experienced, its power is unutilized. . . what happens to the power of the creator if his/her creation's are never experienced? food for thought.

thanks again for the thoughtful feedback. much much appreciated.

Very good poem
I doubt if you will get any negative feedback about this poem as not only is it very good but its from the heart as well as being really well thought. I like it very much esp since it has a very street hip hop style and the content is thought provoking. Well done El.

thanks diviner!
extremely kind words. negative feedback is good in my book as long as its constructive. I'm really working on improving my writing so constructive feedback can really help provide some perspective. I'm glad you enjoyed the street feel and the feeling I put into it. I'm glad those aspects came across.

its always a pleasure to hear from you friend.
