Thank you, Len I'm very glad you're getting repeated listens out of it. Mixing (specifically EQ'ing and compression) is always a real drag: my method is hit-and-miss at best, so it's always good to hear positive feedback on that score. text The soundbites are from an episode of "Box 13", a 1940's radio show starring Alan Ladd of "Shane" fame. I did almost no rearranging of the text, just lifted them in order and dropped them into the song. My private disappointment is that I was forced to leave out several of the more eye-popping lines because they didn't do anything to drive the whole thing forward (so to speak). Daddy Hey Jim, Thanks for giving me the opportunity to noodle on this gem. You did a admirable job of slicing and dicing the wandering tracks I provided. I think the final mix turned out fantastic. The separation and volume control is excellent for such a complex and weaving track. I think the samples benefit from being a little more bumped up in the mix than on the last mix I heard. Also, the sparseness and syncopation of the instrumentation add the the eery and suggestive quality of the story line establishing a near Hitchcockian (!...?) level of suspense. Well, now The guitars are vital to the whole thing! The pick-y Edge-esque one adds a lot of creepy suspense, but that crunchy, angry one is my fave! Thank you for the generous, far-ranging tracks; I believe there is another song to made from the leftovers... Please! Please! So much praise for so small an offering..... I'd like to really let rip with some ugly stuff here, but even the gently avant-garde stuff seems to give the average MJ denizen the vapors, so I keep it as mainstream as my fleeting moods allow. But I have a confession to make: many moons ago when you first opened your account, and posted in the forum for a vocalist, I went to your page. Your songs were so amazingly un-singable I was immediately hooked and downloaded every one of them. In time you deleted them and disappeared for a while. Now you are back, and in the groove and I appreciate your presence more than I can say. Keep your fingers crossed that "Love (No Synth)" can suffer limited birth pains.
