Wow .....
... you boys are just too good ! I am feeling really really small right now ...... absolutely top notch production here ! Adam's vox rawk as usual .... fabulous guitar in here ! This is something definitely to aspire to ..... The Chorus has a nice "Floyd-ian flair" .....
EEFliess said 323 days ago (January 2nd, 2009)
VERY NICE!!
Adam can sing anything!!!!

nice guitar work as well!

jiguma said 323 days ago (January 3rd, 2009)
Nice collab guys
Great vox Adam (as usual). Mr Boy seems to get the very best out of you. Nice of him to play notes that even mere mortals might be able to emulate (as much as I love the complex stuff). A sniff of Silverchair in there maybe.

Top production - top post.

you're the superstars
You two sound like a complete band. Well done in the protools department, and extraordinarily cool performance from both.

Are those beta monkey drumloops? They sound great.

Nice Work
First off I like the rawness of the doubled vocals - reminds me of Jane's Addiction. All the elements are there: good arrangement, catchy rhythm, interesting vocals, and decent musicianship. You have also done a good job of panning your music over the stereo spectrum. If I may give you a couple of suggestions: 1) play a bit with the ambience of various things going on. For example at about 56 secs into the piece, just before the chorus you do a little guitar fill which sounds very dry - meaning there is very little if any ambient effect on it. Then, after the chorus at about 1:38, you play a guitar solo that has a lot of reverb, which is not bad, but makes the solo end up sounding like it is coming from off in the distance, while the rest of the band sounds up close and personal. A second thing to think about in your chorus is to double your guitars and pan them left and right in your mix - this creates excitement and gives your guitar a really cool full sound without overpowering or interfering with the vocals. Overall a fine effort - I look forward to hearing more from you.

Sweet ..

.. big vocals. That "to remind you"/"to guide you" melody line in the verses reminded me of the Who's "behind blue eyes".

Very hip use of wah from mcboy. Could hear bands like Creed, Live, Nickelback etc doing this... very commercial USA rock sound.

"Outside the sun shines...you're caught in a dark time...
...you're burnin' by your troubled soul...how'd ya get so old?
...Is there anyone close to find you...
...and to guide you...
...and to show you're not alone...?"

That and the rest of 'em. Awesome lyrics with music that just nails it all right in there...powerful stuff guys

it's "burdened"... but burnin' works really well, too! Initially, I had a real tough time finding a groove and lyrics so I was real glad to see your comment!

Sorry.
I was here and nothing showed up, not fav and not comment. PC probably crashed and I forgot to come back.
Anyway, this is a fantastic production. I've enjoyed the video and sent it around. There can't be enough of songs like this, that celebrate our troops.
Thanks.
