got a smokey amp for christmas. it's one of those tiny deals that fits into an old cigarette package. pretty cool and unique sound - great for making a track stand out. however, i thought i'd try an entire song where ALL the guitar tones (not bass, drums, etc, of course) go thru the smoke amp. and that's how okee dokee smokey was born. the crazy thing about this 1 watt wonder is it has a speaker out jack - which can power my marshall 4x12 cab... and loud at that! so the distortion guitars you hear are the smokey going thru my marshall cab.

i am going to put some vocals to this tune later. in the mean time, download and add your own vocals if you like. send 'em to me and if i really like them, i'll throw them in the mix all nice-like.

I m very related to this kind of sound not that i had such amp ..but similar !!
its cool ...nice arrangment ...ye a singing track will be so great to add ..
the song itself just cool groove by its own ...the blast distortion just great !

my ol amp !
That was a hand made amp that done and designed by
my friend who did the keys at my last blues song ..
his idea is when ever you give gain you ll have distortion
and it did ...it was giving me clean distortion ...but
then I asked him to made it for headset so I can wail
in silence ..and he did that job perfectly ...I left
this amp with everything at my parents house at hellhole !

	Now this is cool! Great concept... and a really cool sound. I've thought about getting one of these little amps... but there's no way it would sound like this at my hands. i have a smokey too (although mine is a very un-rock pack of marlboro lights). you are right about the sound through a cabinet. anyways, the song itself is very cool, very post rock. add a bit of fuzz bass and you could sell this to mogwai when they decide they need a hit. it's very pop to me, but in the good way. now i need to go get my smokey and try sinfging through it. great track.

my apology! I could have sworn i commented already but obviously i hadn't:) What a bloody amazing beat! You're just so good at so many different instruments.. I've never come across a 'smokey amp' but i have to say it might just be the coolest thing on earth (It's tiny!). I see you're planning on putting some vox on this, great, i can't wait to hear the finished version. Like always, this is another great tune i'll be listening to on the walk home. Thanks for that:)
