Description

Its a song that I started in 2007. I just sang it better this time. Redid everything but the idea. Still some timing problems. But I think I have a drummer coming over soon!!! Then Ill have a finished product. Still writing lyrics. I also had a good friend from my 79-85 era play lead guitar. His Name is Steve Moulton. He played an old Gibson Melody Maker on this.
Sweet guitar. I promise to fix the timing problem with a real drummer.. Not me taping out on a computer keyboard...

You sounded like a drunk, young Bob Dylan on the first lines, which was kind of funny when you sang "No more protesting" the first time. The lyrics were good and I enjoyed them but they sort of sound awkward due to the number of syllables on occasion. Drums weren't that bad despite what you though about them. Guitars are all A+ and the production quality was top notch. I don't really like the synth thing in the background, but I just hate the sound of those in general.

All in all good stuff.

Please don't disrespect musichead with the drunk Bob Dylan comment...I mean Dylan singing normally is painstaking enough. I listen to his music a lot and love his songwriting but man his vox are natrocious but have soul. Anyways, now that I' off my soapbox, great song. I really enjoyed it. Great guitar, lyrics, etc. Can't wait to hear the final version. A very nicely done solo and the 12 string sounds angelic.

I may have had a few beers while singing this. This is what happens when I try and hold out notes. I sound drunk. But Im getting better. The drums are well feeble at best. Steve Moulton did a great job on the solo. We will be hearing more from him. I think the vocals are take # 2 or 3. I could have done a 5 or 6. Thanks for the listen!!!

	Laid back This has a laid back feel which i think makes the song work. The timing issues you mention probably lend themselves to the overall laid back feel so in a way it works like that. Tightening it all up may lose some of the songs coolness? I dunno. I'd like to compare the 2 versions though. Good stuff I reckon!! Check out my latest song called kooky dance

I totally agree with that. this is some real laid-back stuff, man. I like it better than bob dylan and niel young, actually. but that's a matter of personal taste. I can hear the influence, but I like your style way more.
