Description
So here's my end-of-the-world apocalyptic type song (everybody needs one!). I wanted it to have somewhat of an 'epic' sound, so I drew influence from old Western movie soundtracks with spanish flavored acoustic solos, and gave the chorus a catchy kind of sing-a-long hook that contrasts the gloomy verses. Perhaps the singer is looking forward to the end?
I had everything recorded and decided there was something missing. It needed a real haunting kind of sound to push the song into a more foreboding kind of vibe. I've used dissonant feedback for this a lot in the past so I wanted something different, and since michael2 is a jedi master at creating sounds of this nature, I asked if he wanted to play something over it. He delivered 2 tracks of awesome eerie ebow, I put them in the mix and the song was complete.
In case some of you aren't familiar with an ebow, it's used on the guitars that you hear come around 45 seconds in and continues through the verses.
Thanks a bunch for your additions, michael. I put them in a playlist together and this song sounds amazing beside our other collabs "Nobody Knows", "Happy" and "We are Marching". I think we're on to something here...

The music really conveys the gloomy message of the lyrics and helps tell the story. Chorus is great though!
