Description
I wrote this song around 1973, inspired by another Christian Rock song I heard. My friends and I were doing a coffee house ministry in Brazil, and I wanted to write a song...
The band that wrote and originally recorded a song, "Two Roads" was called COUNTRY FAITH (Thank you, Micheal Wark), but it was a different song than this with a very similar message. The catches, "feel the warmth", "rocky" and "freeway" are plagiarized here, but the context is a little bit different. To me, their prose of a "Lord's new freeway" seemed contradictory to the challenge of living a life dedicated to Christ.
Mike Dancy did the drum track for this. My brother John (TEXASFEEL) played and arranged all of the remaining instrumentation in this, and made the final mix. I am singing the main vocals; John is singing back-up vocals.
I posted this before, just about two years ago.

Lyrics
Two Roads
Feel the warmth around you
You can hear music in the air
Night will fall; It’ll end you know
Where do you go from there?
There are two roads, and you can choose
A rocky one; or a freeway
The rocky one leads to heaven,
The freeway leads the Down way
Chorus:
Why don’t you choose your road today?
Choose! Before it’s too late
If you want the road to heaven,
The Lord Jesus will show you the way….
So many years before you;
A lifetime’s passed away
Sometimes you’ll know the path to take,
Then you’ll choose the right way
There are two roads from which to choose;
The rocky one or the freeway
The rocky one leads to heaven
Freeway leads the Down way
(Chorus):
There are two roads from which to choose;
The rocky one or the freeway
The rocky one leads to heaven
Freeway leads the Down way
You can feel the warmth surround you
Hear the music in the air;
Someday, you’ll die n’ it’ll end you know;
Where do you go from there?
