Lyrics
blue eyes

bluer than
heavens
heavens shaky sky

I seek a place in the sky
hid behind the plain stained star
crosses gut and hung
in the trunks of trees
smolder
and hold the light you keep
and no one injures you
a place you hold
together with strings
and glue
you hold them so still
you hold them still

blue eyes
bluer than heavens shaky sky

I see the smoke in your breath
and the teeth in your mouth
filled with liqiud strength
fighting the pill lovers

cool and slow
I see reflected in the color in your eyes
the blue eyes
bluer than heavens shaky sky

i see the blue sky
affects the color in your eyes

in your blue eyes
bluer than heavens shaky sky

you hold me down you hold me down
oh heavens shaky sky
seek a place behind your eyes

crosses gutted and hung in trees
I see heavens shaky sky

singing is fine
The singing sounds good.. It shows you worked hard on this tune and it paid off..good job.
Sounds like timing could have been a buger on this. The beat flows along nice.

this is probably
my favorite song of yours.I don´t think it needs a better singing.Maybe you should turned its volume down a little.
Did the time changing came from the gathering of different portions of other songs? Not taht I don´t think it´s cohesive.it is surely is but It seems that you composed this one taking pieces from other sources (songs I mean)...
Liked the lyrics too. They are most of the time as original as your music.

ego I love this. really. i love everything about it. the guitar tracks are great. nice percussion. I love the effects and atmospheric sounds. your vocals are great and really fit the feel of the song - nice harmonies. it just feels very real and organic to me, which seems to fit the theme of the song. i've listened like 5 times already and i just really love this - my only suggestion would be to work a little longer on the mix. things seem a little unbalanced during certain parts. great tune Tim - thanks for taking a chance and posting this for us to hear!

has a nice
transcendental feel to it as though floating or travelling forward on a very pleasant journey......... the vocal suits the song too. The song puts me a little in mind of U2's " Still Haven't found what I was Looking For", cheers M

A softer side to Egobandit.
I like it. I'm gettin a little U2 vibe here and that's not a bad thing as far as I'm concerned.
Lot's of cool stuff going on here especially with the shifting time sigs.
Plenty to keep me happy.

Nice nice nice
This is great. Makes me think of The Beta Band, which is a huge compliment in my book. Lovely lyrical touches throughout, right down to the title, which I love. Nice bass, too, with a great sound. This is one of your best, my friend - no hype. And for the record, I think your voice is the only voice that could pull this off. Excellent. This one is going to stay with me. Nice one. Peace.

Really great work Tim
I also think you're the right voice for this. Reminds me a bit of Jane's Addiction - a good thing in my book - though Perry became annoying at times and I never find that with your work. This is a definite fave and a nice detour in your usual production style.

hey there ego
i totally love this song....the guitaring is very very nice...the lyrics are beautiful and I dig your voice. us guys who cant really sing, but need to do it to get out of ourselves the true meaning in the tune, it is hard to convince yourself that your voice hinders you, when in reality it is one of the strong elements in getting the feeling across.

This is a nice nice piece! congrats on the nice work.

awesome sound effects too

best

A gem
The guitars are swell, but it's the bass that really grabs me. I like that faux-Adrian seagull sound, too. In fact, the whole thing is great: well played, well-produced and that vocal keeps the whole thing from sounding pat (props to Bud for his unfailingly accurate ear for similarities: an unprocessed, un-whiny Perry Farrell it is). A confident, unhurried stroll through a Floydian summer day....

PF Transport...
This has that early psychedelic feel, transporting me back to early Pink Floyd daze... the cool sound effects, dreamy slurred harmonies, and actually, the slightly off-beat singing really works for this. Despite the comparison, this has a lot of Egobanditry uniqueness to it as well. Good disturbing imagery in the lyrics.
