Description
This song came about when I where looking for something online at a medical website... I thought, what many wonderful, to me truly never heard of words, or I've heard them, but never knew their meaning. So, I started to read. And soon it aspired into this song. I hope you enjoy. PS. Per usual I never seem to understand what category to file my songs under.

Lyrics
Oh, Body!

Brain. Skin. Mouth. Bones. Veins. Vagina. Heart. Skull.
Aorta. Lung. Phallos. Eyes. Ear. Liver. Teeth. Blood.
Abstinence. Arousal. Epistaxis. Dreams. Integument.
Micturate. Orgasm. Soul.

Ain't got a little – but a running pulse.

As you probably know, there are plenty of human bodily material for at least a double album, I may very well build upon the topic!

Great song
lots of fantastic sounds in this reminds me of The Young Gods. Young got a sweet groove going on the bass and that toned guitar fits in nice and snug. The whole mix is sound! Like this song.

Awesome
This song is worth listening to just for the opening, alone.

The bass is wonderfully throbby and I find this quite different to other songs you've done, Mikki. Obviously, lyrically it's centered around different themes than the usual for you, but the harder-driving electric-techno sound with harmonica and tradition blues rock instruments is very cool. I know other bands have done it, but you've done it your way and I LOVE it. Total download and I will be listening to this all day.

I think that
if you wrote a song about a gas stove it would still be interesting LOL, you have such an artistic touch to your music. I love the technique and combination of instruments you used.... really liistenable, regards M

Why did you mention the Gas Stove?
If I get that on my mind, I am going to have to read myself up on the history of Gas Stove, which of course would be a little easier that perhaps the Iron Stove (I love Iron Stoves)... Glad you enjoyed the song!

You've got a really cool thing goin' on. Have you heard of Mugison? This sort of reminds me of him in its grooviness. Very original, tho, really unlike anything else I can think of. Wow! Just gets better and better. Is there some distorted harmonica in this? Sure sounds like it.

Jim...
I am not sure I've heard of Mugison, although it sounds very familiar... Glad you like the new (for me) sounds I am creating, and you are absolutely right, there is distorted (and other effects) harmonica in there! :)

Great mix Mikki!
You seem to be leaping forward in big steps at the moment with your production especially. I really enjoyed this - especially the harp parts and the bass sound s amazing.
My favourite of yours so far.

Your opinion is always very intriguing, and you seem to be on here all the time, I don't know how you find the time? How are things over there? Hopefully warmer than here, but without any bad bush-fires...

cool
song built up around your new found fascination of medical words. It's great to get inspired by random things. Ah music it's full of learning!
Really cool beats and bass holding this together for a really smooth listen.
Nice one

Oh boy!
Very cool...such beautiful sounds in motion, so well put together, like a rubik's cube (or a body). lol. Love it!
mikkinylund said 3252 days ago (January 20th, 2009)
Um...
I always sucked at the Rubik Cube. But perhaps there are other cubes to solve, music has always been a damn cube. I am glad you liked this one, even though the colors didn't quite line up.

Great concept
And brilliantly realized. Love the vocals on this. Made me think of Depeche Mode in a way (the good aspect of Depeche Mode!) and that sweet bass does make me think of the chili peppers. Really nice arrangement, with lots of dynamic breaks and terrific sound. Excellent production. Original and intriguing. Very cool. Nicely done. Peace.

Mikki, Your production chops have been getting really incredible lately. The range of vocabulary you have been using sonically has also been getting really cool. I am curious how much of this is loops and how much is you. Is it all you? if so, color me impressed. A real cool jam with a funky little undercurrent.--P

Man, oh, man...
You never cease to amaze me. This is so amazingly cool. Not just the sound, but the way you came up with the idea for the song. I guarantee there can't be many other songs out there with "Epistaxis" or "Integument" as part of the lyrics. (I looked them both up, btw, so entertaining AND educational.)

Loved it, my friend!
