Description
Well one Saturday morning back in 2006 I was laying in bed very early thinking that someone on the internet must have preprogrammed stuff for Ultrabeat... i couldn’t sleep so I got up to do some google searches.. the first thing that came up was macjams... I spent the whole morning here... I couldn’t believe that I had found all these people that basically did the same thing i was doing... now at that point i only had one song in mp3 format... “Find Him” so that was the song that I posted... no other reason... I soon learned to work toward that format.... Anyway it was in mp3 format because I had recently sent it to someone who was going to be doing vocals with me... I recorded it with the guitar tuned one step down... and the highest part was sung an octave lower... this was all to accommodate the folks that I would be singing this with... in this version, I have the guitar tuned regular and I’m singing the high part back up on top... it seems to have more of a sense of urgency this way... I’ve always heard the song more like this... more of a rock version... I originally posted it in folk/rock because it was just guitar and vocals...
my friend Dave was going to stop by this week and lay real drums and violin on this for me.... I mimicked the violin with a sample in the beginning, then I abandoned it, because samples fall short... I reserve the right to repost this if Dave shows up before the week is up... and thanx to my son Dane for the bass trax... great job son

Lyrics
YOU WON’T FIND HIM AMONG
THE PROUD MEN WHO INSIST THAT THEY ARE STRONG
YOU’LL FIND HIM WITH THE MAN
WHO CRIES OUT GOD FORGIVE ME, I AM WRONG
YOU MAY NOT FIND HIM IN
THE CHURCH THAT IS TO COMFORTABLE AND WARM
YOU’LL LIKELY FIND HIM IN
THE WIND THAT RUSHES UP BEFORE THE STORM
FIND HIM IN THE UNLIKELY PLACE
SEE HIS EYES IN THE ORPHAN’S FACE
FIND HIM WHERE YOU ARE LAST TO LOOK
HOMELESS MAN COULD BE HIM MISTOOK
YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED HIM
WHEN YOU PASSED THE HOMELESS MAN NOW LEFT FOR DEAD
LOOK HARD YOU’LL SEE HIM
IN THE HOLLOW EYES OF CHILDREN WITHOUT BREAD
THE PRETTY PREACHER ON
THE TV SAID HE’S WITH US HERE TODAY
I THINK I’LL FIND HIM FOR MYSELF
AND SEE JUST WHAT HE HAS TO SAY
FIND HIM IN THE UNLIKELY PLACE
SEE HIS EYES IN THE ORPHAN’S FACE
FIND HIM WHERE YOU ARE LAST TO LOOK
HOMELESS MAN COULD BE HIM MISTOOK
FIND HIM IN THE UNLIKELY PLACE
SEE HIS EYES IN THE ORPHAN’S FACE
FIND HIM WHERE YOU ARE LAST TO LOOK
HOMELESS MAN COULD BE HIM MISTOOK
FIND HIM IN THE UNLIKELY PLACE
WIPE THE TEARS FROM THE WIDOW’S FACE
FIND HIM WHEN YOU GO DO YOUR PART
FIND HIM WITH YOUR HEART
THE PROUD MEN WHO INSIST THAT THEY ARE STRONG
YOU’LL FIND HIM WITH THE MAN
WHO CRIES OUT GOD FORGIVE ME, I AM WRONG
