Description
Until my son bought me this Mac complete with GB I hadn’t sung a note for about 20 yrs apart from humming to myself as I went about my chores. Neither had I ever played a keyboard so I taught myself bit by bit (I still can’t play with both hands at the same time) and at my age it’s been quite a feat. It’s a fact that if you don’t use it, you loose it and that means voice as well; mine was virtually lost through lack of use and it took me a while to get to the point where it sounded passable. I still have to wait for a good day before I sing.
I know this song and title is unseasonal, but it’s my favourite (for personal reasons), of the one’s I’ve written.
This is the first song that I wrote and performed under my own steam that I thought sounded near enough to ‘right’, though I was still having problems with my mic’s at the time. I felt the vocal sounded harsh, so I’ve re-mixed the backing and ‘rounded’ or warmed the vocal so that I feel it’s much better now and the song better balanced overall. Though I could do with a pair of bellows to give me more breath these days.

Lyrics
Another Golden Autumn
(Spoken Intro)
It’s quite a while since you went away, though I often feel your still around today,
I sense you close, at certain times of year....and now, the time has come, when once again, I know you’re near.
1st Verse
Another Golden Autumn, another summer gone, and while the leaves are falling,
All the memories lingers on,
I sit here in the garden; I’m taking in the last warm rays and though my eyes are heavy now,
I can almost see your face,
But you’re just a memory, imprinted in my mind,
That’s all that I have left now, to warm my heart,
2nd verse
The trees of red and gold, will soon be cold and bare and even when the snows have come,
I still know that you are there,
Your glow will fill my memory, until the end of time,
Autumn is so special, it’s the time I made you mine.
( Instrumental)
Are you just a memory, imprinted on my mind?
If you are, that’s all I have now, to warm my heart,
3rd Verse
The leaves are like the memories, they fade and fall and die. Though a few will last for ever, they’re the ones of you and I,
But it’s another golden autumn another summer gone and while the leaves are falling, All my memories linger on, my memories linger on, my memories linger o-o-o-on

Rich sound and fulness in the back tracks and you vocal is full of the emotion the song sings of. you can be very proud of this one my friend. It's a beautiful love song, filled with the sadness of loss and the tenderness of loves memory.
Kudos Maurice
