Thanks, some of the ideas in this piece date back to some time I spent in Rome where food like that in the picture is readily available :)

Smooth as a glass of Chianti
and a bite of that fine looking bread you have there Bill. Mellow and relaxing to listen to, in all a very nice piece my friend.

That Akoustik sounds very good
I got caught off-guard a bit at the 2:00 mark..... Solid piece, very nicely played. I know about that kind of food, too. It absolutely KILLS me to have to pay $15/bottle here for the same thing that cost me $2.50 there!

Very pretty
Delightfully expressed and played with such lightness of touch. I like the way the sustained notes linger in places and create a hint of a harmonic drone in the background. And the way the melody goes on a walkabout in the last minute or two. A very refreshing listen.

The Akoustik
...sounds great on this simple number -- a very UNAFFECTED composition that comes across as honest and pure...You seem to be experimenting with harmonies you like...and your improved tune makes great sense on top of it all...(Sometimes your tune and the underlying harmony clashes in a way that strikes me as out of character, since so much of this is absolutely harmonic...Maybe it's just me.) You might think of modulating volume in your play-style. Some additional dynamics would really bring out your ideas in varied ways.
Peace.

Excellent comments. There are a couple places where I meant to have a little more volume to contrast better with the rest of the piece, but I think I erred on the side of focusing on the notes and tempos there. You have a sharp ear for the harmonies and song structure, I think I understand what you mean, and where the darker notes are, this gives me something to think about.
