hmm, not sure.
I think I prefer the other one, because this one seems a little hot to me. A little too much slamming in the kick drum. I probably would tweak things a bit and I'm not sure if I would just sit with this preset. I almost never use a stock preset and I'm always changing things a lot, little tweaks usually in the gain, because I find most stock presets are designed with that sort of pumped commercial sound in mind. The Logic mastering presets are the worst offenders in my opinion.

This version is not too bad, but if I was going to go this way, I would probably go back to my original mix, and mix it with it more in mind that I would be mastering it later. This particular song, I really just as I said opened up the old file in Logic and went with what was there in adding and subtracting things. When I construct a new song these days, having learned a bit over the years, I usually try to leave a lot of headroom in there to allow for mastering later on. It wasn't until I was working with GB for a while that I realized that I shouldn't try to record, mix and master in one step, but I needed to break it down into distinct steps that had their own specific place in the process. In starting out recording myself in GB I was always pushing the track levels up too much when mixing and it made my masters a little too squashed sounding.

Very nice
enjoy especially the terrific vocal, the jingle jangling of the sound is really nice. That Ozone really seems like it did the trick! But I think even with out it, the sounds you get here are quite nice!

Way to Go!
