Description
In 2007, my first year here on MacJams, I posted a version of the original 8-track analog recording of this song that I had tweaked a little in GarageBand just to get it sounding fuller. I was never happy with that posting so I took that version down late last year with the intent of reworking it someday.
Well, the Reunion Festival created an opportunity and a reason for me to do a little reworking on it. I redid the Drums and Bass, added a few guitar parts to it and brought in a Pedal Steel guitar for the verses and on the ending. Then I ran it through the mastering process and here it is, all decked out and ready for it's debut.
So for your listening pleasure, here is "Season for Pain" I hope you like the new version.
Thanks for listening,
Ed

Verse I
The Sun came up this morning.
There's a gentle breeze blowin' through the pines
There's a Robin outside my window.
Singin' while the babblin' brook keeps time
There's a trace of smoke rollin' from the chimney.
It's a remnant of the fire on our last night
But the fire has grown old, and your love has grown cold.
And it looks as if the seasons gonna change
Chorus
Through my teardrops I see you leavin'.
And the raindrops start fallin' once again
The Robin lost his song, and I wonder what went wrong.
It looks as though the seasons gonna change
I guess its just the season of pain
Verse II
The Sun came up this morning.
There's an old man fishin' in the stream
There's a farmer out by the old road.
Plowing up his field with a team
The snow has all gone from the mountain.
And the winter winds have changed in - to spring
But there's tears in my eyes, and clouds in the sky.
And it looks as if the seasons gonna change
Chorus
