The Lonely Pier

Description
My friend Ashley went to North Carolina, and took this awesome picture. I moved me so much I composed this melody for this picture. The fact that there is no one on the pier in the afternoon, seems so sad.

Those seagulls sound pissed.
There's a lot going on in this song considering it's inspired by emptiness. I really liked it, especially the bass, the guitars and whatever that orchestral sounding string was.

But since I have to complain about everything, I think it would have been better without the synth track. I don't like synths on a personal level so maybe that's why.

Also, good job on avoiding the way too many sound effects trap. The seagulss at the beginning were cool and I was glad to hear them fade out as the song got going. Fading them back in at the end was excellent.

After the storm
Watching by the sea for the boats that will never come back. Looking down the pier, hoping against hope for the safety of loved ones out at sea.

That's the picture my mind sees in this musical photograph. and it's very compelling. Very well produced and mixed with wonderful touches like the cello, and string section.
Very nice track Kelly

What a moving piece
composed to go with a photograph. Inspiration can come from simple things. I don't have to complain about anything. I am grateful for simple gifts. Thanks for this one.

Emotional
The guitar adds so much to the tone of this score, and like sloparts I pictured an emotional scene while walking towards the pier. Great work, again!

good job
indeed, with the use of the seagull sound and the drama of the electric guitar and company, such as the cello sounds.

Very innovative! A terrific rock addition to MJ!

Nice intro with a
prog rock kind of build. The entry of the cello adds to the kind of melancholy wisps that appear from time to time in the harmonies. Love the solo. You wail!

Be well,
Doug

Nice ambience...
...awesome arrangement. Love when the power chords come crashing in, followed by the synth-guitar interplay.

Very moody this. Mission accomplished my friend!

Be well!
