Description
Back in 2005, I was very timid about others hearing my music on a global stage. I discovered MacJams and, shortly thereafter, MacJams Chat. The very first person I met in Chat was a lovely young lady from Cheltenham, U.K. by the name of Caroline. We quickly became friends. She was very helpful and encouraging in my musical endeavors as well as offering personal moral support. I thought it only fitting to write and collab with my longest standing friend from MacJams for the MacJams Reunion Festival. Thank you, Caroline!

Lyrics
Gonna start at the beginning
The year was two thousand five
I was on-line at MacJams
When a bouncing bear stopped by
I said hello, how are you?
What are you doing here?
My name is Caroline, I'm from Cheltenham
Pleased to meet you, my dear

Now, as the years go by
And others come and go
There's no need to feel blue
Stop by Chat for a show
The bouncing bear is always there
Along with others who never stray
Take those miseries away
Let's have a pink and fluffy day!

Kazoo as lead instrument.
Buggy, you got some Satchmo going on. And Caroline, well she's one of a kind. Nice song to honor a friendship. Way to go. Toot Toot-le ley Toot! Thanks.

Char...
Thanks for listening. You're a dear. Not sure what a "Satchmo" is but, I'm assuming it's a vocal thing? Funny thing is, the vocal is a happy mistake. I had GarageBand set up to record in 44.1/16 and my interface set up for 48/24. I know, a lot of techno-babble but, turns out I liked the way the slower, deeper voice o' mine sounded so, in it stayed! :)
bug67 said 287 days ago (February 11th, 2009)
Ah, yes...
Satchmo = Louis Armstrong. Who hasn't heard of Louis Armstrong? Google is our friend!

Hey, thanks for stopping by. There was a forum post recently about the MacJammer next door. You're the closest I think I have to that. Jeff's the other but, he doesn't play. The other Alaskan MacJammer that I know of is in Seward and I haven't heard from him in a while. Thanks for stopping in.

Hey, I thought I told you two to lay off the lawn mowings.

Is this the world's first kazoo lead break? Jimi Hendrix missed an opportunity there.

Your voice sounds great, Dave.

Just brilliant!

Great Bouncing Bears
and cuddly Kazoos, I used to have loads of those (kazoos) and they go great with a ukulele, do you favour the metal or the plastic .I find the metal ones make my teeth 'itch' if I have to bite it to retain whilst playing uke....wow I have not done that for ages ...this song is fantastic on so many different levels......I think that you are as loony as me !!!!

I must direct all kazoo questions (metal or plastic preferences) Caroline's way. And yes, we're all a bit loony around here! Thanks for listening.
caroline said 286 days ago (February 12th, 2009)
kazoo answers...
i have loads too - traditional ones in both metal and plastic - assorted colours - and a couple of little round ones made of plastic. as i don't play uke - unless you count guitar with the capo on the 7th fret - i don't have preferences - i used a metal one for this song as i felt it had the best tone for the job. thank you for your interest and bug is right ... we are all a bit loony but he is prolly more loony than me but some of the others are completely barking!! :)

Glad you liked it. Thanks for listening.
Kicbal said 286 days ago (February 12th, 2009)
So cool
Some may not take this song seriously and it obviously has a funny side, but the truth is that the guitar tone and the overall production is great, and elevates the whole song to a different level. In other words, for me its something that I could listen to more than once, which doesn't happen to much with material that features the kazoo. Nice!
