Description
This song is co-written by Bill Evans and myself. Bill wrote 85% of this .
My primary function was to help finish the lyrics. They only needed a tweak here and there. Bill had a very clear vision of where this song was going. Mike House and I recorded this at his studio and brought this thing to life. The bass and keybords where done by Mike on the spot. We picked out a drum loop, I played my guitar part and sang. Then Mike layed down the bass in like two takes (one to write the part and one to record it)I stepped outside to make a phone call and by the time I came back in both parts were recorded and he was working on percussion. We recorded and mixed this thing in four hours! Mike is the consummate professional.

Lyrics
Here she comes, walking down that road.
Here she comes, I hit overload.
There's my girl, strollin' in the sun.
Come on girl, say let's have some fun.
Listen girl, you're the world to me.
Listen closely, lady can't you see.
Together girl, we can gain so much.
I'd lose it all, babe without your touch.
You and I will never be alone.
You and I will have a happy home.
Sunshine Lady please never part.
You would surely break my loving heart.
I don't know, lady why you stay.
Money troubles, bills we barely pay.
These minstrils hands, don't make alot of cash.
But you keep saying to me that our love will last.
Girl take away all the pain
Girl you help me hide all the shame
Past events don't seem to play a part
In the lives of our lovin' hearts.
I don't know, lady why you stay.

Man the bass player can play! (Just kidding - Well...) Dave your a great song writer and it is a pleasure working with you. You already know how I feel about this song. This is very nice and you project the feeling in your performance well. After listening several times I feel I could have improved on not only the mix but even the mastering as well. I know this sounds great and I think so as well however - maybe I'm just never satisfied with my work.
I welcome you to MacJams and I hope you enjoy the community and great musicians here.
Thanks for sharing,
