World Ambient #1 (The Krishna Mix)

 Genre: Ambient

This is the first of (hopefully) many pieces that will be made with my new Krishna soft synth. I am finding it fascinating to play with.

The mix itself is just exploring some of the sounds of the synth, but in my style.

Have fun listening and please let me know what you think, good or bad.

Hi Daniel.....
I'm glad you found this mix interesting. The synth has a lot going for it and I'm gonna play around with it until I make some half decent sounds, so hopefully i'll be able to post one or two of the mixes.

There are a couple more mixes ready for posting. I completed them around 10 days ago but have been staying with my dad whilst mum was in hospital. She's home now so I can upload them over the next few days as I'm back home.

I'll be checking out what you've been up to whilst I've been away.

Take care.

as usual Paul, your music is fascinating, intriguing, interesting, and just plain luscious! Great job - I look forward to what comes next from the Krishna.

Hi Karon...........
Yeah..... I enjoy putting some nice sounds together and it makes everything worth while when a composer and musician such as yourself finds something they like in them.

There will be more mixes appearing over the next few days/weeks to come.

Thanks for stopping by.

Take care.

I really enjoy the synth with the right rythmns of bell like sounds(or piano)? It adds to it with a crystalizing touch:)

Hi Linda.....
As you may have noticed, I'm fond of a couple of bell sounds here and there in some of my pieces!! I love sounds that cut through my main backdrop of sound. They add the highlights and edges to the soundscape.

Take care.

Excellent Paul
we seem to be swimming in the same stream at the moment. I really like the sounds your getting from the Krishna set against the percussion. Looking forward to future explorations.

I noticed we were doing similar things too. It's good to know someone else listens to what we do in our spare time.

Thanks for listening.

Take care.

it captivates
it is a good meditation sound, with percussion and ambient music. it is music similar to stratosfear, of tangerine dream. the sound of synthesizer creates waves of amber colour. it is a warm sound. perhaps changes of timbre can be introduced here. it holds many possibilities. 0x0

Hi ic42......
Thanks you for all your comments. you thoughts are always welcome here and always give me ideas for future tracks.

I will be using this mix as a springboard for other mixes, so your ideas may be incorporated, at some stage in the future.

Take care.

As always,
Paul, your inventions are compelling and well-designed. This one is no exception, though it is a little more restrained than your recent posts. I am always amazed by your fascination with sound. You continue to explore and to invent. What a gift to the world!

Hi Paul......
I make every effort to match the sounds I put into my mixes. The basic rhythm is laid down and then other tracks are added, to make certain parts stand out in some unique way. I may put as many as 15 mixes together until I find one I think does the music itself justice, or I may abandon the mixing for a new idea.

Thank you for listening and encouraging me.

Take care.
