I have really been impressed by the heavy metal music I have come across on MacJams. It's not my usual style but I have always wanted to try a metal song, so here it is. I'm not sure if it qualifies as real heavy metal, some of it came out a bit punky,

i was just wondering the other day when we'd see another Relic tune! And how cool dude. Really dig the the timing changes. Style is definitely metal - mix of late 70's Maiden or Sabbath and early Metallica. Love how you can't resist the little sunny pop lead melody here and there - gives it real character and sets it apart. Also really like the typically metal killer outro with the double bass and the thrashing around. Finally the lyrics are a hilarious parody of metal lyrics dude very witty. Dl'd. Thanks!!

thanks, glad it went over OK. After I posted it, I was fully expecting people to say, "This is s**t".
Of course, I'm sure some are thinking that and not commenting!
It was hard for me to restrain the more melodic side, I came very close to putting in "Na na na" backing vocals at one point...

The lyrics are courtesy of Leon's Random Song Lyrics Generator... a great website for random lyrics, band names, chord changes etc...good for many laughs.

I am a bona fide metal fan, though... no disrespect to the genre intended.

Your fingers are golden. The guitars strings and the computer keys bow down to your prowess. Yes I'd say it's punk, but the indie-metal-punk like old dri or descendents. I hope you know of the descendents. If not you might like to check out the "hallraker" live album if you can still get it. Good stuff on there. I always liked "peptalk"and "cheer".

You always get good depth and clarity in your mix. This one is not quite as polished sounding as some of your other songs, but I think it's harder to achieve with this style. Metal is pretty demanding. But again, for the indie-punk-metal niche, it's pretty much right in there. You did a great job.

	I like the songs you have in different genres. But I would definitely look forward to another relic metal song if possible. As for the pickups- I've found that it's the attitude that matters. 	beta monkey drum loops These ones are from "Double Bass Mania II" drum loop collection (Beta Monkey). I have also used Drums on Demand and Addictive Drums for different songs, as well as the GB loops. I think the loops are usually an imperfect substitute for real drums, but at the same time it's pretty cool what you can do with them. Check out my latest song called Novis Libris

	Heavy Metal is back. You've pull off the agonizing speed drum sound. Nice job. The vocals were a lot better then I expected, since a lot of metal consists of simple power chords and screaming. great sound
i really like the sound you got going, raw and tough, the vocals are great, tempo changes are good, i think the low end could be brought up a lot, need that bass and this song is begging for it. having said that that the whole thing makes me think of rollins band or suicidal tendencies, and, metallica's "and justice for all". i know these are heavy hitters but you got that lofi/heavy sound going on that's really cool, but, after reading previous comments, would love to see your own lyrics, i realize this may not be your regular style, but this tune seems to deserve more than just "Leon's Random Song Lyrics Generator". thanks for sharing.
