Thanks John
Glad you enjoyed this, it was fun to add the organ bits...I must get my keyboard fixed though - I had to rely on musical typing here...and that can be a bit tricky hehe!

me thinks
you have a million tunes in you Steve and they're all very very cool. The solo was sweet and voice sounds wonderful (as always :-) The 'stripped' down-ess was an asset in this one. Did I mention I liked the guitars? The organ sneakin in in the out-tro was spot on

Nice One Steve...
The 'funky' guitars are great but it's the subtle bits and pieces that make this really interesting. Love the flow of this - sounds effortless.

Thanks for listening in Peter, I had fun attempting a bit of 'slide guitar' on this....I don't think Ry Cooder needs to be unduly worried!

What a wonderful
feel this has - and so warm. You know, I can definitely hear this working beautifully in a Tarrantino film. Your musicianship and vocal are superb. Definite download. Thanks Steve - would be great to meet up again soon.
Cheers

slinky
Really cool slinky bar lounge lizard crooner. The guitars are great, but the real star is the bass, so cool and detached, like a hip detective in the shadows...takin' numbers and keeping a sharp eye. Very tasty. Me likey.

Cheers for listening and commenting. I like the 'hip detective in the shadows' metaphor hehe....sounds a bit like something me and Cat might come up with for our Day For Night project (3am bar)

Thanks
Thanks for your kind comments. I am still kinda learning to be a 'singer' and discover what I can and can't get away with vocally hehe. Still need to shoot for that falsetto at some point!
Thanks

I think you've got...
...a little more funk, a little more syncopation, in this one, with a nicely straightforward melody... I like the vocal on this, and I like the little decorative bits of guitar... Good simple structure to the music and the lyric...

Ultra Smooth, Ultra Cool
ah man this is nice. dig the rhythm guitar driven groove. it's like the Church get's funky. Like the vocal stylings on "higher place" - the near falsetto. Great lead guitar throughout- all manner of unusual and unexpected sounds. Production is perfect - sounds great in the phones. I really like the outro too with the backups and the organ rising up to carry the tune out and away. Ultra cool, ultra smooth tune dude.

Hypnotic
sorta drew me as it progressed until I was disappointed it had stopped. Lovely fills and laid back groove.

Cheers
