Description
I want to get some more of my older songs re-posted, so I can use SmokeyVW's album sort and organize them on my page. I remixed this using Mike Dancy's mix in the mp3 format - maybe not such a good idea...
John Luper - Lead guitar & bass
Terry Harp - Vocals (paralax)
Mike Dancy - Drums and Main mix (H.L. remix from mp3 to add more train sound, sorry Mikey)
Harold Luper - Lyrics, song, Rhythm Strat
Trains - © D. Bailey 2001-2006 with written permission.
Artwork - Lilian Zampol with written permission.
Please go visit their web sites for more train sounds, and Lilian's artwork

Lyrics
Ridin' Maria Fumaça
I'm gonna ride that train
Gonna ride it home
Gonna ride that train
Gonna ride it home
I jumped off the track, just half a mile back
Couldn't see where I was goin' to
A pack on my back, my axe in the sack
Yeah, a helpin' friend to see me through
I'm gonna ride that train
Gonna ride it home
Gonna ride that train
Gonna ride it home
Then when I was blue, just a dream comes true
All the things a man could hope for
And with my eyes on you, I knew you’d pull me through
How could I ever, ever, ask for more?
Oh, yeah! That train’s a commin’, the trucks are rollin’
I’m g’onna get back to life!
I'm gonna ride that train
Gonna ride it home
Gonna ride that train
Gonna ride it home
Now I’m back on track, never, never look back
Yeah! My train is comin’ home to you
Let’s go hop in the sack, and get on to my stack
I’ll do anything to please you, too!
Get on! The whistle’s blowin’, it’s Nine o’clock
And time to catch my ride…
The coal, is ever burnin’, the steam is blowin’
I’m seein’ the end of the line!
I'm gonna ride that train
Gonna ride it home
Gonna ride that train
Gonna ride it home
