Pretty Rocking!
Nice. Great little rocker. The guitars sound a pinch hot in the mix. Not sure how you tracked this but you could also try to EQ some bottom end off the guitars to make the bass and the kick come through in the mix a little more. Just a suggestion, otherwise nice song, composition, and performance!

Rebellious partying
Thanks for asking me to have a listen to your latest. I had actually listened in before you wrote, but listened a second time. (I have already entered it into my beta playlist for mainstream rock.) The writing and arranging are balanced and classic. Very nice party rock, great for drinking to. I missed a dominant rock bass sound and agree with above comments that the rhythm guitar is a tad loud. Not the lead, which seems leveled well; however, speaking of that instrumental solo section, it came across (in my ears) as a bit stilted and thin. It may be how it sounds live, but the lack of rhythm distortion hits in this section is noticeable and the lead riffs are kind of straight and stiff. Consider a lead line that uses more syncopation, string articulations (bends, vibrato, falls), and more variations in melodic rhythms; and consider some overdubbed rhythm guitar hits to keep the drive or a more prominent bass line there.

I dig the energy and party feel of the music. The heart of much of rock is this sort of spirit, rebellious partying, and I think you've captured that.

Still got that ..

.. distinctive 4th Windae sound, even in the basement... which I liked from the beginning. New drummer is fitting in well I think Shawn, solid drumming. I agree with the previous mix comments: rhythm a bit loud, solo volume is fine .. bass needs to come up and perhaps lose a bit of wooliness... (if you hear what I mean) .. de-wool the bass player! heheh. Might be to do with how you recorded it. What was recorded in basement and what was not? Cool rockin' riffs, fantastic confident vocals, nice use of FX on them too ... catchy tune.

My only tip is ... I wonder if you can do some "ducking" technique? ..(I forget if your using GB or Logic or ?) .. I ask, as I think the main guitars could 'duck' down when the vocals do verses (in particular)... for a live sound it's great .. but I would still expect the guitar to 'bow' down a bit as the singing comes in .. and then up again later .. bit more dynamics. Just now they are very constant volume all the way through... gives the sense they were over-dubbed in afterwards.

Excellent stuff never-the-less. Take my advice with a large tequilla and a pinch of salt. :o)

The
ambience of your basement is very good.
Wish I could record something there.
Very tight rythm and the guitar is a standout.
Your new drummer adapted real quick because you sound very tight and the interplay between yours is awesome!
Very good.

dig it...
i've seen the sun rise many many times in Reno so had to give a listen. cool garage sound. Rhythm guitar has style - enough off of normal to be interesting. Same for the vox - a cool combo of punk snotty and rock and roll grit. I dig it.

Dudes!
This rocks. Great sound, and a really good groove. The guitars just rip - terrific sound, clean enough to hear the music, and dirty enough to sound like they mean it! Very cool. Like the lyrical imagery, and I just can't help but picture this live. It would rock the roof off! Very cool. Nicely done. Peace.

Great song - and fantastic
live recording. How the hell did you do this in the basement. What's your setup? Or is this a virtual basement?
