Description

The melody has been kicking around in my head forever. Last week when most of us did the time change many of the words came to me. This song is for my wife. Who greets me after work EVERY day with a smile. Who has to lift a headphone to let me know supper is ready. Who doesn't mind my arms being around a guitar more than her. Thank you.

Lovely
This is a truly lovely song. The vocal performance is outstanding - warmth and spirit in each line. Lovely lyrics - a great tribute. The guitar sounds good, too - a nice crisp acoustic sound, and some lovely fills in there, too. Why the fade-out at the end? I've done it myself on occasion, but it seemed a little unsuited to this track for my taste. A really nice song, and a great performance. Nicely done, my friend. Peace.

Well thanks for
the listen. Honestly my vocals are my first concern as I am not a singer. On this track though the chord progression (or lack of) was at the top of my list. The deciding factor however was,after trying some changes it always came back to what you hear. "Go with what comes to you first and you will probably be correct". Mr. Ritz. 8th grade music teacher. I love the sentiment and truely share that feeling with my wife too. The years press on relentlessly and we "fritter and waste the hours" all to often. your wife and mine might get along - they have similar husband-experiences from your description :)

Cool tune with some nifty guitar and a Spanish vibe to the progression. I really like the idea in the second verse about looking at a photo - those "snap-frozen" moments in time work really well lyrically in my book.

Production wise, a few comments/suggestions: that hummy intro needs a haircut - you could easily tidy that up with a snip. I'd like to hear more from the drums and bass (is there a bass track?). Not a lot more, but just enough to round things out a bit. Small nits only - I like this. It has a warm feel and lyrics that I can relate to.
