Best Thing
Well Michael, you are quite the romantic! This is a great song! Nice job with the intro - I love the electric piano, as well as the tasty little sax parts. Vocals are very good, as well as the harmonies, and the entire mix is excellent (of course!). Oh I just heard the ending - definitely like that little whisper as it fades out! Now I can hear lots of ways to further develop this but I'll talk to you later about those things if you like - I am impressed with your songwriting abilities - great job and thank you for sharing this, my friend!

Fantastic production from first note!
Love your vocal - backing instruments all works really well in the genre. I'm probably the last person who should comment on this, but it sounds like its pretty seriously compressed. For me this doesn't necessarily change the way I feel about the song, but others may find it a little wearing on the ears.

This is seriously good "adult contemporary" music.

Thank you Neil. I agree Neil. I may have pushed it in the mastering stage. I'm kind of in the well it sounds pretty good as is but stage (I mastered it just before I posted it so I never listened with fresh ears - shame) I do feel it is a bit on the "loud" side of things. It isn't distorted except for the one vocal line which was recorded that way so I can fix that. Yes - I agree - It may be a bit too loud - Hey, I'm learning this mastering thing and I need to hear feedback and I will improve and soon I will be the master Neil - trust me. :)

(this is a compliment ... just in case you are not a Kenny Rogers Fan ) .... but .... there was something in the melody ..... but Kenny aside .... your vocals are top notch and you projected just the right amount of emotion here (ack do I sound like Paula Abdul right about now) ???? Good song
The delivery of the lyrics is A+. You have a great voice and you recorded it well.

I have some issues with some of the more "solo" instruments, for instance in that intro. The sax plays a couple of notes, the piano plays a couple of notes, but it's not really memorable, nor is it clear if either is the lead instrument. I think some more focus on the solos here and there would improve the track.
