Description
Just messing around. Every synth in this track is Krishna by Devine-Machine. Some Apple loops for the drums.

(A friend just listened to it and he said "Daft Punk"! Ok, maybe for 4 measures. But I do admit they have something that sounds like that.)

Nice______

Must have been fun playing with all the different synth sounds and possibilities. Sounds pretty good Vic.

Very nice combination of sounds Vic
Like the way it kind of just rolls on in at the beginning. Some awesome bass works going on her my friend. The synth sounds, while an unusual combination, all seem to fit together in a nice smooth way and then when it's done, it just rolls on out.

Nice piece of messing around Vic, very cool track

Unusual
thanks for listening and commenting. Krishna is a strange beast, and it's taken me some time to learn how to tame it. It's great for unusual sounds, especially with some "grit" to it. Some of the sounds in this track are mutilated samples of an acoustic bass, fender piano, and a dulcimer.

Cool-
You have a 'big' way of messing around. The oddly tuned chimes are an interesting element. This does have a kind of cinematic sound to it. I'm waiting for the crdeits to come scrolling by. Thanks for sharing your fun with us!

Not my bag forgenre
but you captured my attention really early in the song - it was quite a rush to have the fade in feel like it was coming straight at me from the front and spread out. That was truly cool.

Improv at the Krishna...
Sounds like you are having a lot of fun just messing around and figuring out how the thing works. Very cool combination of tempo, chords, and keyboard craziness. It works for me.

That rhythm track
has a strong Tangerine Dream vibe at the beginning, but then things quickly get out of hand.....! Good sounds + some uncooperative timing generally = a satisfying listen. I will definitely check out Krishna.

Loops and samples
Like you, I started as a musician on "real" instruments, and it's taken me a long time to get away from the "computer as a tape recorder" mindset. Actually, more than just recording, I was using a computer as an "orchestra in a box": I imagined what real instruments would sound like, and then reproduced that with software. That's not terribly hard to do. Garageband comes with enough tools for it. This piece is a step away from that, because there is a lot of sound designing going on before I actually play a note.
