this is an experimental demo.
I wrote this song and recorded it not too long ago after arriving back in the states from india. it was there that i heard the story of the scorpion and the frog.
a scorpion travels down from the mountain wanting new scenery and must cross a river. he finds a frog and asks the frog to take him across. the frog asks "how do i know you wont sting me?" and the scorpion replies "we'll if i sting you we both die." the frog questions him more and finally he is convinced he can make it safely to the other side of the river. half way across the frog feels a pain in his back and before they both drown, he asks the scorpion "why did you do that?" the scorpion replies "its my nature."
i related to this story, and the song, while fun, is actually quite sad!
the poor scorpion cant help himself!
there is only one guitar track, one vocal track, and a vibraphone software instrument achieved awkwardly with musical typing on a macbook keyboard.
id like for there to be a cello track 2 measures before and during the vibraphone tracks in the intro and the transitions back to the verses.
