Description
One of the composers that really effected me is Mantovani and his Orchestra. My mom and dad would play his music quite a bit when I was real young. They are both gone now, but his music really tugs on my heartstrings and makes me reflect many times to rememberances of my mother and father ! The large 4 legged stereo would play 78 records and you could hear his wonderful music through out the house! Though this piece Tango is composed by Isaac Albeniz I thought doing the orchesration to Tango could bring out Mantovani style in a way, Upon hearing the Tango solo classical guitar I piece I did, it sure seemed to have qualities that had deep influences especially putting in the accordion ! If you have not heard any of his music I highly, very highly recommend hearing :
His composition: Theme From Moulin Rouge / at:

Nice one Bill.
The accordion and strings are a dead giveaway. My favorite Mantovani recording was Greensleeves.
Cheers

Lovely
This is lovely stuff. Really evocative of somewhere far away and much less busy than here! Lovely playing - I am, as ever, in awe of your technique and the lovely feel you bring to the instrument. Very cool. Nostalgic and sweet in the best possible way. Nicely done. Peace.

Tango with Orchestration
Beautiful as usual. I love how confidentially you attack those chord progressions. Very fantastic musicality!

Argentina
Sounds a lot like "Don't Cry For Me, Argentina" from that Eva Peron musical -- what was that show called, anyway?

Yes, my parents also played a lot of Mantovani. When my big brother installed an 8-track player into our station wagon, around 1975, my folks bought a Mantovani 8-track tape, and they wore that tape out.

When I was majoring in music at Ball State, I played a piano piece by Albinez, similar to this one. I really liked it, and I like this one too.

Your guitar technique is beautiful as always. Thanks for sharing your gift.

You never cease to amaze me
A local pricey restaurant should pay you big bucks to play your guitar for the lucky customers. You are a master craftsman, and not just in tiling. :-)

the tango
I can see a big ballroom with prominent guests in fancy clothing dancing elegantly to this slow tango. You play with great gusto. Brilliant:)

Just wonderful. Its been a while since I stopped by and there is so much new here. This piece is just delightful. Your playing is so enjoyable and expressive. Your production is flawless too. Very nice elements mixed in for atmosphere and finish.
