Description
Maybe more jazz than blues.A probably too long jam on a minor blues riff... 1st take- too lazy to record it again.

So which is it, jazz-blues or blues-jazz?... [Inset 'Isle Of Lucy' joke here.] What I'm liking in your compositions is how you manage to quote 'Livin' Lovin' Maid' in the jam section of every single tune... And seriously what I like is that you can compose really intelligently and you can also improvise really freely, and with varying degrees of structure.... Great phrasing and gorgeous tone... I do, however, have to report you to the Jazz Police for not using an L5. Sorry, but what's right is right. Ed Check out my latest song called Next Time Around (w/jiguma)

Living Loving There are 2 possibilities here- either you are developing LLMD (The tendency to believe that all music contains Led Zeppelin quotes)Or I have developed LZQD (The inability to improvise without inserting Led Zeppelin quotes)I'm not sure which it is... I think that we both need to be tested Aleister Crowley clinic in London. Check out my latest song called Blues in Bm

yeah.... too lazy to do it again.... this is genius in one take to be sure. doing it all over might detract from the beauty of this tune. it is so sublime. i love the warmth you are getting out of your guitar. it is so smokey smooth... very nice... tooo lazy... whatever..... jazz geetar If you did another take it probably wouldnt have the same feel. Splendid performance.Thats a nice moment when you launch into the walking bass line. i imagined an upright bass and some brush style drums behind this, but of course sometimes the open spaces in a recording are what make it interesting. am Whatever genre you want to put this under, it's great. Love the tone! Don't worry about re-recording too much, it's pretty awesome as is. p.s. I really want to learn those type of walking jazz chord switches (ref 2:09-2:15), what a time investment for that... Fantastic, masterful, and smart! What they all said... Just lovely, a real pleasure to listen to. You keep me guessing constantly as to where you'll go next, and it is always a pleasant surprise when you get there. Very creative, very smart. blues... ...or not, I still enjoyed what you did with this. The echo-y recording atmosphere is just perfect, and your skill with the guitar is something I have grown to expect and which do not fail at in the least with this recording...I absolute love the bluezy chords...so mellow on the guitar... I do agree with the notion of noodling, though. You do it so well, but the final result from a structure standpoint is a little disconcerting and unconnected. You have such great ideas with this improv. I hope you will give it another go with maybe a little more specific focus as to where you really want to go with it. That having been said, I will listen to your current number several times because it is just so darned pleasant!!! Peace. Paul (Sorry I am so late getting to this. I am catching up on several weeks worth of posts... My studio has been "down" for some upgrading and repairs.) Check out my latest song called Double Etude

cool jazzy sound The delay adds to a dreamy mood and also makes it more relaxed in a way. It also helps keep the rhythm going 'cause it sort off adds an extra beat to it. Would be interesting to hear this with a more direct sound w.o. the delay/echo. I'll line up with what the others say. Beautiful noodling — impressive to keep it interesting all the way with just your guitar. Check out my latest song called Don't tell me what I can't w/KTB and Ingve

Jazz Yes, at least as much jazz as blues. You know some really great jazz chords -- it's a blast to hear you show them off. Reminds me a lot of Chet Atkins, in an introspective mood. Well-recorded and nicely executed. You can tell there's a lot of stream-of-consciousness playing here, but there's a place for that sort of thing, and your playing here is very enjoyable. Am, just Is I'm going to school here, all the good things in one place rolling out in the atmosphere of layed back flow. This is so rare, the cliche's have been left behind for the self expression. Remindes me of Ted Greene, with some Joe Pass, especially "Forward Pass", in the execution. Thank you for sharing. Daugrin Check out my latest song called Daphne w/ Andy Wigzell
