Description
This mix is an outtake mix or, from another point of view, a variation on a theme. The original theme being the track 'Ice Cold Heart Silicon Brain' on my free Ambient album (link on my main page here at Macjams).
I had completed the album track and then decided to vary settings and others things and this mix came out, similar enough to be a variation but different enough to hold its own (hopefully) on here.
The story behind the original track and this variation are that I had named the album 'The Mechanism of the Soul' but had Space Ambient tracks ready to put into a track list and no track could loosely be 'earthed' or closer to human, so I came up with this mix and the one that made it to the album.
If you have time, please listen to this track and the free album. The tracks available in the album are all 256Kb MP3 files, so are higher quality.

Patented Reinholt56 sound*. So many interesting things going on. You have a particular way with ambient. It moves a lot. The particulars of the mix give it kind of a closed in feel. Reminds me of a soundtrack to a sci-fi radio program (I wish they still played those). Of course, they didn't have synths back then, but still....
It's very thoughtful. I didn't hear it as upbeat, maybe just because I'm sleepy. Another choice piece of work.
*That being a good thing.
