The original idea
was to see what I could compose out of just the sounds in the FX category. I thought it would be a longer dance club type of thing 5 - 10 minutes long. After an hour I decided that I liked the short format - about the length of a TV commercial.

Great exercise
and very successful. I like the fact that you kept it short. I've been brewing a new Macjams Challenge for a while based on the 30-60 second format. Well done.

I had an album once..
in the early eighties that was all pieces under 60 seconds.( vinyl )
Have you ever heard ' I Like Food ' by The Descendents ? 19 seconds
of punk madness.

Don't know that one -
But I loved The Residents "Commercial Album" - 40 tracks - all 30 seconds long.

Stomp!
This is pretty nifty. Kind of a "Waltz of the Steam Engines". Playing that one effect in parallel thirds was actually funny. Subtle ending with that coin. Goes to show that you can make a well-rounded composition out of any sort of sound.

a Residents Fan and..
he has one of Neil Smiths old drum sets. Too much Bud !

I like the Parellel thirds comment, Vic. Makes it sound like I actually know what I'm doing :-)

oh yeah...
I have a sweet spot for tunes such as these... of course! I especially like the see-saw creaky yawns against the pulsating throbbiness.
