Lyrics
the waters been risen up around
my feet, its been nothin but trouble
comin down every week

its been tougher and tougher
all the time just to eat

painfull enough
to make a grown man weep

my only strength, that I have
has just left me left me weak

I find it harder to love when my soul isnt meek

You sound
like an angst ridden young teenager. Channeling? Ah, way to make moan and groan entertaining. Inspiration makes good work. Thanks.

Oh man Tim
this is so real and cuts to the core - these are hard times and enough to make a grown ma weep. Gotta admit sometimes - face the demon and carry on. Amazing performance - great mix. You are beating Perry Farrell at his old game - big time. Gibby and the the Buttholes for that matter too.

Dick Van Patten Rocks!!!
So does this, but more. And in a totally different, non-70s TV dad way. Reminds me of some very early punk-era stuff. This would have fit in great in last year's CBGB challenge. Good stuff.

iLike
Got some early punk rock vibes at the beginning of the song (read MC5 etc.), even Neil Young. It has an unpolished vibe over it, which just makes it so much better, it works in it's dirty way. The guitar is really heavy and deep, and well performed. I don't think the vocals are bad at all, they work for this song, has some 70's too them for sure... Good work, I like this a lot! :) /Mikki

Great feel on this one Ego! Touch of a Jane's Addiction sound to me/ White Stripes, on the vocals, love it! Really enjoyed this song.

Raw and edgy
But still a very well done rock tune. Don't have a clue about what you're talking about on the vox, it's perfect for the song and you did a great job getting the emotions into it. A great performance all around I'd say Tim

Thanks for posting it.

well if you find your vocal performance off here, I'd certainly be interested to hear you when you think it is good. I think your vocal style and production is very good - I especially like the loose doubling - reminds me of Jane's Addiction, and fits in quite nicely with the music. I do think you should fade out the very end before the abrupt "click" occurs, but it also serves the overall rawness of the song well, so don't listen to me. I enjoyed the listen - thanks for sharing this with us.

Enough Enough Enough
What happens when ya get peeved? Meters are pegged, drive it high, little keyboard parts are interesting. I can't tell, is this mastered for the effect or affect if you prefer...my problem. Keep it in the floor, you can't beat raw power.

Big sound
You do get a big sounding backing and it fits in very well with the lyrics.... vocals remind me of Supertramp's voice in tone and combined with the backing, it gives off a very original sounding vibe, cheers M

Rock
I would agree with...Roll hmmmm my juries out but its still a bangin' good song
your voice has a plaintive quality that has a touch of Plant on Houses of the Holy and that ain't bad.Good one.

Heavy...
I like the really heavy sound you get on the bass on here. Not sure about the cymbals - sound a bit sharp to me, but the grunge feel is great - nice doomy chord progression. Cool song.

Fanned it before hitting play just on the lyrics alone! This is as close to a straight ahead rocker as you get. And it's done very well. Love the crunchy guitars and angst filled vocal!
