Description

When I got my Zoom H2, I ended up writing this tune. I think this tune is a little unlike me in style, but I dig it. I put the file in GB and added a little echo/reverb, just to get rid of the "dead" sound. And added a few "Ahh's" at the end.

I hope you like twangy, slightly out of tune, cheap Yamahas with new strings. lol

By the way, I'm not going to re-make this one. But, I would LOVE to hear this song with a female voice. Anybody?

Got to say, I'm with Vic, this really sounds unlike you in a way. Kind of like a slightly phase-shifted version of you! But man is it cool. Love the guitar (and those new strings sound great) and that's a really nice melodic sequence. Your vocal on here is really good - warm and eloquent, and I really like the bittersweet lyrics. Very cool. Nicely done, man. Peace.

	I have... I have a yamaha 12 string. I like the way it sounds. The new strings make a diff too. Im getting into doing more ohs and ahs too. Plus now I have to go look at what a Zoom H2 is. there's something immediate and honest about a cheap guitar. anyway this sounds great dude - love the "ah's". also like the vocal bridge around the "if you could do it again, would you do it with me"... you like to keep it hovering in mid range but when you climb up out of there it sounds durn good...curious to hear what an "unleashed" Dave might sound like...

Yamaha's fine!
Nice bit of lyrical symmetry between "I’m going to make you see / You’re going to be happy" and "You’re going to make me see / I’m going to be." All is fine with this tune. The bkg harmonies toward the end are a little high in the mix for me but no prob. On the cheap YAmaha: I still have my cheap entry-level laminate Yamaha (FG-75) from 1969, and it has its sour moments. But if you get them in the right mood, they can be coaxed to play sweetly, as you do here.
