Description
A blues collab featuring Feter and a new MJ member from Syria Yamen al yamani
I sent this DEMO to Feter a couple months ago. It was an acoustic guitar and two verses with the refrain. Feter then wrote the last two verses. It went back and forth for a time until finally Yamen jumped in and added his talents. Feter sent back all the tracks. I then added tenor sax and mixed it up. Hope you enjoy the live feel of this one.
And of course we're hoping Feter gets out the back door... to the USA, no turning back!
Feter: Vocal, rhythm guitar, lead guitar
Yamen al yamani: bass, organ, drums
Jack: tenor sax

Lyrics
Back Door Blues
Verse 1:
Sitting here on my back porch
In this desert neighborhood
Not sure where I'm bound for
I'd stay here if I could
Refrain:
So I'm on my way to Houston
My life stowed in my pack
No time to reconsider
-Out the back door... no turning back!
Verse 2:
Kissed her goodbye at the station
Yuma trouble on my heels
She said, "Get on that train boy!"
I couldn't argue with that deal.
Refrain:
Verse 3:
Riding the rails on this journey
Not too much to tell you there
Coming down to meet my final road
As I bite my bitter rope
Refrain:
Verse 4:
Sharing my night with a ghost
Alone on this open road
Big burden on my weary heart
I'd lay it down if I could
Refrain:
