Back Door Blues (featuring Feter and Yamen al yamani)

Description
A blues collab featuring Feter and a new MJ member from Syria Yamen al yamani

I sent this DEMO to Feter a couple months ago. It was an acoustic guitar and two verses with the refrain. Feter then wrote the last two verses. It went back and forth for a time until finally Yamen jumped in and added his talents. Feter sent back all the tracks. I then added tenor sax and mixed it up. Hope you enjoy the live feel of this one.

And of course we're hoping Feter gets out the back door... to the USA, no turning back!

Feter: Vocal, rhythm guitar, lead guitar
Yamen al yamani: bass, organ, drums
Jack: tenor sax

Lyrics
Back Door Blues

Verse 1:
Sitting here on my back porch
In this desert neighborhood
Not sure where I'm bound for
I'd stay here if I could

Refrain:
So I'm on my way to Houston
My life stowed in my pack
No time to reconsider
-Out the back door... no turning back!

Verse 2:
Kissed her goodbye at the station
Yuma trouble on my heels
She said, "Get on that train boy!"
I couldn't argue with that deal.

Refrain:

Verse 3:
Riding the rails on this journey
Not too much to tell you there
Coming down to meet my final road
As I bite my bitter rope

Refrain:

Verse 4:
Sharing my night with a ghost
Alone on this open road
Big burden on my weary heart
I'd lay it down if I could

Refrain:

Back Door Blues
This might be one of the most important colabs I did cos I gained
a lot of knowledge and experiences it took us a lot of time and
noodlings ...Jack sent me demo I built and based all the tracks
on ...Yamen the studio guy who himself liked the song and asked me
to arranged it as the demo goes which mean no loops all LIVE ...so
I played the whole rhythm live the lead as well ..Yamen played the
bass and the drums (on keys) all live timing ..and it was a blast ..
the live feel always haunted me...and to feel the players around
just so unique feeling for me ...the groove You added here bro with
the sax just incredible ...this is what Summer of Love fest should
have ...a real HOOT !!!! ... true honor for me to be on this song ..
and the chance that you gave me to benefit with joy from this powerful
tune that still play on my ears for some reason ...thank you so very
much !!!!

Hey Mike...

Thanks bro for chiming in on our collab. Yeman really rocks. I think he is a "metals" guy, but we'll have to see if we can draw him into another blueser...

Great track Feter
Love the vocal, the organ the guitar, well all of it really. Good song, well played and very well mix. You the Man Feter.

Yamen did on the Roland and I love the sound of Jack's Sax in the call response with the vox.

Love it guys, you all did a fine job here. It doesn't get any better than this.

Yeah... Feter da man

Feter stayed with this one to see it through. I got distracted and he took the initiative to add the necessary tracks (bringing Yeman on board... brilliant) to make it a band song. I was kind of amazed how it all came together in the end.

Many thanks Ed... you da man, too.

There's always a good pay off when collabing with Feter, and the bonus was having Yeman join in. Thanks Roxylee.

very bluesy with a touch of '60's San Fran flavor (not rice-a-roni, but you get my point)

excellent collab from all three of you guys

Back Door Men....

a little Jim Morrison allusion there? heheh...

A touch of the 60's SF flavor, I'll never argue with that. This did start out as an acoustic number and morphed to electric... maybe that has something to do with it... that or the fact that Jerry Garcia has been visiting me every time I eat some Ben and Jerry's "Cherry Garcia" ice cream.

Thanks Vic... now out the back door.............>
