Description
ok so it had been awhile since I did any music, and I was dying to get back into it. Unfortuantly a certain lil bugger had other plans. I ended up getting real sick with a high fever, sweats, you name it. I didnt let that stop me though, I strapped myself into cubase 4 and couldnt come up with any ideas, my brain was foggy. So naturally since the flu was the only thing on my mind I said to myself how damn cool would it be to do a track speaking from the flu bugs perspective. I started creating some lazy, slow, and swelling type sounds and gave it a real slow pace, given the state I was feeling at the time.

Anyways i think it actually came together nicely every VSTs is there for a reason and i saw fitting to represent the flu.

the intro is my healthy self, at the time i was excited to get into some music... But then it hit me...the flu bug.

I used one synth that is almost like bugs crawling on your skin, or at least it was the closest thing I could get to that sound. Really listen to each component and i think I captured the lazy, feverish. and since fevers can play tricks on the brain causing halucinations, i tried to capture that feel during one of the sections with the unpredctable rising and swelling synth with this vibrato string type instr playing opposite of it.
anyways thats enough description you'll get the picture when you listen...hopefully.

melodically hectic; eclectic intensity...
is what I get from this track. I dig the phrasing, which has a dark trip hop sensibility to it. Arrangement is intriguing, and I think you captured that surreal feeling of a fevered state nicely with this one. Cool track!

The swirling sounds are very effective in creating your buggy scene. That grounded piano line was a really good choice to allow the other chaotic elements to go wild. I especially like it at 1:21 where it's center of the show. That banjo sound is structured and repetitive enough too.

Great sounds overall. Drum are simple and lazy.

I really like this.

totally
so yeah, there's the sluggish, fatigue-heavy beats and bass. the ever-present achy tension and the intermittent chills. this has a feeling of slow, deliberate exploration - both from your perspective as you let your feverish mind work through how to think like a flu bug, and also from the bugs perspective as it works its way through your body, unhurriedly wreaking havoc. hallucinations are cool.

Ha!
I really love focused experiments like this. When I started to listen, I hadn't read the description yet and was like, "What in the... This guy must've been sick or hallucinating when he composed it." So yeah, success! Your interpretation is delightful.
