Hey, Eegs, that title line is a seriously raw image. Ouch. Sorry about that. This is anything but maudlin, and the approach is probably how your friend would want you to immortalize him. Composition and content overall is great. Mix-wise, it's valid. If you wanted to mess with it, you could try some reverbs and squash the voxes together... maybe even a touch of OD (overdrive, not overdose) to try to "analog-them-up" a bit. And maybe step on the whole master track with some some compression. Or don't. You got great guitar tone here. And thank you for mixing the drums as you did--not to loud; just right for that early-70's Stones archetypal feel IMHO. (Just above this comment, Vic says late 70s... AFTER Some Girls? Yuck, no way!!)

Man, this is staggering stuff. The tone and emotion in the vocal, and the powerful twisting lyrics are perfectly matched by that driving beat. Can think of things you could to this in terms of sound and all that, but can't think of anything you could do that would really make this better. Sorry about your friend, Tim. A fitting tribute.
