Description
An original melody in three unique harmonic settings, at no extra charge I have included three trails that developed in the course of making this piece. Enjoy.
Again allow me to dedicate this to my favorite MacJamer.

Geez Daug...
When you wrote "original" you weren't kidding. A strange but intriguing musical journey! Like a vast intelligence viewing life on earth from somewhere in space...

Enjoyed!

Be well friend!

Calchas in the House
Thanks my friend, if it wasn't original and different I wouldn't do it. That third harmonization with the melody in the bass line and the Creepy Kitten loop in the soprano is my favorite. The close voiced chords are in the bass synth from the previous go round, adds extra flavor... a little strange tension?
No chance this is extraterrestrial though, it's just Daug style.
Watch those drinking songs....

damn...
yepp, this a wikkid wander. lovin' that grimy machine-drum sound. awesome breakdowns, lovely humour throughout. I like how you're not all self-important and masturbatory in your sound like so many "experimental" artists. music should be fun!

Hi Shaver
That machine drum sound is augmented by a "blast of air" prior to the "pushing" kick drum hit. "Grimy" is an interesting way to describe the sound, I have to agree.
Hopefully my pieces are fun without the arrogance you mention. People have let me know they think otherwise as well.
The things I post are unusual, especially harmonically. I find it very funny that each person associates my stuff with the innovator of choice from their personal listening experience.

Hello Magnatone
Where else would the Crazy Conductor put sci-fi loops with a girls basketball game and the sound of a can of soda fizzing against a "warm string" line dominated by whole tone dissonance?
I am so ashamed of myself....

of posthumous Zappa composition. Faint comparison - but I'm at a loss for words.

Alternative Theory from Bud
Thanks for the words Bud, hell you maybe right, as much as that pains me.
Zappa made "collections of sounds" like parts of this, and of course I have heard them. The harmonic structure of this is different from the norm, and frankly (oops) it is all very "normal" for me. My trademark harmonic tricks really don't sound like Zappa to me, but I do cover "Zoot Allures" and "What's the Ugliest Part of Your Body" live, so I have to admit that influence.
If you are correct Bud, I will have to stop all this Zappa influence...I will ape Primus and/or the Mind Expanders, probably both at the same time, from now on... Lol. Innovation not emulation!

Sir, you are such a great player. If you were to take your sensibility off the instrument and exercise it on scoring as a whole the results would be most interesting. I would encourage you to widen your efforts. I have enjoyed the experience myself, the results were surprising, when I go back to guitar now things are different...

12-step-program in Brownian Motion
This was strange, addictive, surprising, and ultimately, a very enjoyable romp through strange prickly underbrush. Interesting sound effects distracted me slightly while your sleight-of-hand slipped the melody back in with different clothes on. Very... um... very fun and very YOU! :-)

Drak, dam you are literate son. Uncommon feedback, I believe you could parse the Daug tricks too. Now, hold on, that is not offered to encourage such things, better folks don't know how sausage is made. Lol

Okay.
Yes, right that it should be Smokey VW that you are honoring here. So much but not too much. Believe it or not, I found this very sexy. In short, it is a turn -on. No one to jump on, though. Crap! Chinese dragons at loose in a city street. Do we know what those folks are doing under all that brightly colored silk and spangles? Fireworks can cover up a lot of sounds, methinks. Super trippy and a great endorphan booster. I feel better, Daug. "Take one of Daug's compositions and call me in the morning!" WOW! thanks, a lot!

Macaudion in the Daug House: I think I understand the note. Wander is very specific. Determining folks with as different view point are odd? Just different handles my friend. Please consider that "we" are merely the other people. I think you are considering yourself just a little further further than Daug...that may be hard to live up to...Lol I am encouraged by your note.

Influences
I love your style. Just curious as to your influences (or who you like to listen to these days). Obviously Miles Davis (the Bitches Brew era). I hear a little Sleepytime Gorilla Museum... I used to do more experimental music, but only in groups, never by myself. I miss it...
