Tightrope hey Bowman - i'm not sure i heard the original, but the sax in here is very cool, and as Clark said, there's a feel of something "darker in the distance" that really holds your attention. Tightrope This is so rich ...listening to the pizzicato like with all the impressions the strings giving helped the sax to sing so sweetly ..a very nice poem ... thnx alot for sharin !!!! I was enjoying this nicely when it ended far too quickly LOL ..........there's a 'taughtness' about this in the way it has an edgy, slightly dangerous feel; which is what walking a tightrope would be...... especially for me. What will happen next? This is a wonderful mix of tension and possibility. The sax was a brilliant choice here - it almost gives the whole thing a foreign sound that is a nice foil to the pizz strings and bass drum. It plays out like a short story. My only nit - I would love to hear a longer version where you develop the piece more with other wonders from your bag of inspiration. Woo hoo! Always cheers me up to hear a new piece of yours. Interesting, insistent rhythmic quality here upon which the whole thing hangs, which works really well. Some occasional harmonic dissonances there suggesting something darker in the distance, but I like the sax addition. Very cool stuff... it'd be nice to hear more of it!
