Album Description

To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep;
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to, 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;
To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub;
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause: there's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life;
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
The oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
The pangs of despised love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office and the spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscover'd country from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all;
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pith and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry,
And lose the name of action. - Soft you now!
The fair Ophelia! Nymph, in thy orisons
Be all my sins remember'd.

Hamlet, (ca) 1600 Bill Shakespeare

.
Roxylee got it - as i see you have after checking "oops darn" (that one was oddly interesting) and "it" (also interesting) - elsewhere PeacePiano thought it referred to sunshine as in "blowing sunshine" - too much of a good thing? - all things in moderation?

anyway, the longest day of the year is soon upon us (in the northern hemisphere)

thanks

on a walk
Nice movements here. One thing I like about these productions of yours is you always take them through a nice walk, no VCV for Smokey's Eclectic Electronica. Theme and variation, yes! Good listen. I think my favorite part is near 2-2:50 or so. It develops into a nice "dragging" melody. I mean there are two, the faster front and the lagging rear, the second seems to hang on the first in a neat way. Thanks.

I googled it
and can hear the brutal, relentless rays beating down, causing the madness that makes me want to escape... escape...escape...into the cool dark of night. I'm glad I don't live in Greenland. Great note picture you pained here, Bill.

this
is awesome Bill. Pulsating alternating melodic lines. Choice sound choices as well. Tight and interesting. I like it when you go to these layered warrens of sound.

My Beatnik
poem had the line: Stare into the sun long and it'll burn you blind. All in moderation. Deadly sin: gluttony. I think this is a very pleasing piece of music, Bill. Thank You.

SUNSHINE
You did a nice job on this piece of taking a fairly simple chord progression, repeating
it with a multitude of variations in instrumentation and ideas, to keep it interesting
from start to finish - enjoyable listen - nice job - thanks for sharing this.

Catchy and playful. I like the variety you've sprinkled throughout to the syncopated rhythms. A nice tribute to the day!

too much sunshine
I got cooked by sunshine in mexico once, had to miss out on a formal dinner on the boat while my ears filled up with mushrooms. what a riot. the relentless beat of the piano reminds me of those mushrooms filling my ear while the sun toasted me into near unconciousness

very cool.
