Description
This is the second of my "field recordings" on my Boss Micro BR. This has been through GB '09 just to EQ a few peaks and to put a little sheen on it. I have 2 more songs planned for this Indie EP.

Dude that is a big dog. What is that some kind of sheep dog or something?

Like the 'rusty red is my ancestry' line and the 'lookin down at my shoes and wondering whose feet these are' line. You've got that off key Dino Jr. thing going on and I think it works with the grungy guitar effect. Don't know if the break between measures on the first part of the solo was intentional but I dig it. I like the melancholy rainy day feel of this. You've still got that J&MC vibe - every time I hear one of your tunes I get nostalgic. Thanks for the DL...

Big dog...
He was an Irish Wolf Hound. A real sweetheart too. Sadly passed away last year.

I seem to be managing "off key" without aiming for it. I'm pretty sure this is a good thing! The solo measure break was not intentional but after 5 takes I ended up going back to that one as it had the ramshackle feel of the rest of the song.
Thanks for listening

Very cool
Like this a lot. The guitar tone is really dense and rich and the lyrics are really cool, with some really nice lines. Drums sounds a little thin in my speakers (but keep in mind that my speakers are a little thin!) but that's just a recording nit - the song is cool and that's the thing. Very cool. Nicely done. Peace.

I grew up in the 70's and 80's in the south of the UK in an Irish family. I had always loved music but was never given an opportunity to explore making it for myself. About 10 years ago I bought an acoustic guitar and began strumming in earnest. To d... [see more]
