Description

This poem by Mary Elizabeth Fry has had many detractors and several people laying claim to authorship, it took almost all of Fry's life to be recognized as the author.
My treatment has been called creepy by some, this was never my intent, if you read the poem you can see that it is a comforting piece for those who are grieving the loss of a friend or loved one...
I have not used the whole poem, I cannot remember why I did not LOL

It's the minor key treatment that creates a somber nearly creepy feeling- the words stand alone and create a comforting for the reader... the rememberer of lost ones. I wonder how the feelings would be changed if it were a traditional fast tempo bluegrass tune... with all that said, nice production and a very thoughtful work.

Ambiguity
Fascinating spin. The voice fx gave it the appropriate sense of disembodiment, but not in a way that sounds heavenly ethereal. The words are delivered in too-forthright and emotionless manner. And the mix of voices is all too reminiscent of my favorite horror movies. THAT makes it sound creepy. Anyone who denies that it's creepy must be listening to something different. That being said, it's an incredible piece of work. The words are beautiful, and it's to your credit that the music completely overpowers their emotional tone. The ambiguity is intriguing.
