Description
As I continue to rummage around my refrigerator, I keep finding things. I found this one behind some moldy cheddar cheese from the last Super Bowl.
Anyway. I recorded most of this with an old drum mic that I used to record the whistling. Yes, whistling. You have to like a song with that. I didn't want to use my electric acoustic. I wanted to have "real" acoustics. Currently, that problem has been solved. But, in 2007, when this was recorded, it was the best I could do.
The painting is by Thomas Kinkade, a painter from one of my favorite towns, Capitola, California. Some may think his paintings are a bit cheesy, but when I look at this one I think it's a taste of paradise.
Enjoy

Lyrics
A Taste of Paradise
As I lie here in my bed
I can see your green eyes once again
Should I write the note I wrote, the note I wrote to you,
but now I have to say good-bye
All my life
I've been looking for a taste of paradise
I can see it in the mirror,
but it's not getting any clearer
Now I have to say good-bye
As I stand here in my room
I hope the answer will come soon to you
Should I think about thoughts and think about thoughts of you,
but I have to say good-bye
All my life
I've been looking for a taste of paradise
I can see it in the distance,
but it only lasts an instant
now I have to say good-bye
oh I never want to say good-bye
As I think here in my brain
All the snow, wind and the rain
All this pain I put away
I think of thoughts of you
But oh, how I say good-bye
All my life
I’ve been looking for a taste of paradise
I can see it in the mirror,
But it’s not getting any clearer
Now I have to say good-bye
