live
making me sooo envious with these incredible live recordings Fran. I can't get my home recordings to sound so upfront and them I can tweak over for months. Cliff is the perfect key man for the band. From the sounds of it, you guys tote a rhodes along as well. Thats some serious heft :-) , but what a great friggin sound.

hi john
if i could have a full date book, maybe i could get cliff to be in the band, but he plays with some really good people and is really something. he seems to enjoy playing with us as well, and this night he really was fun to have with us. He has a very cool sense of humor, we do have a lot of sentences that have the same vocabulary, and we play well together in the moment....and THAT is IT when you play live all the time...staying in every moment...but I will hire him at every opportunity.

thanks for the continued support, john!!

Cool Keys
I've always liked this one, and the addition of the keys is great. Your vocals and guitar are more fluid and relaxed than on the original. And the Bishops keep the whole tune swaying to the beat!

Take Care

This song takes to the keyboards...
And you sound nicely loose and locked in with your lead playing... I like the conversational quality to your vocal on this... Sounds relaxed, and not forced... You're building up a whole Dagostino Band Alternate Mafia... Get Scott back in there, get the Tower Of Power horns to join up... You'll do Little Feat one better... The more I listen, the more relaxed and natural this sounds... I think you in particular are nicely on form...

hi ed
got a set a set of cds for ya...the rough mixes of the whole gig...it is as good as i can do i think, on a lot of fronts. I need to do one of the regular band that has this level of performance...fran b is always a mind blower, and i always know bryan will be good, but bryan tore the shit up that night...he was just on fire. there are three hours of recordings with about 2 punch ins to fix the bass tracks...he was unreal.
I am so proud of my little band...we are laying it out everytime we play now, and we are having great fun.

no edits, overdubs or nuthin here...havent even mastered it yet...

remember the torture tapes you made with tape recorders at shows....?

I'm
hearing some Max Middleton in some of that keyboard solo, maybe some Herbie and Chick- do you guys play any Beck? This is really fun to listen to I'm sure it's even better live.I am now getting my guitar to see if I can steal some of your riffs.

beck?
i try not to do too many guitar instrumentals made famous by guitar players...cuz then people expect you to play exactly what the guy who played it originally played, and that is not what I like to do....but i have loved this song for a long time, so we do it now. people seem to respond well if i play it well, even if i dont do a beck impersonation.

Great Job ziti
Your stuff always rocks. It's fantastic that you are recording live so you can mess with it and then share it with the rest of us. Where do you play live? You don't happen to play in Arizona at all do you? Say Tempe :D

Love it... :D

Great Jam,
Like the changes you added in there, nice lead phrasing. Love the wah at the end. Really great stuff Fran. If only the camera were a bit closer. You've got a top notch band. Hope you make it to the Chicago blues bar scene some day.

Smooooooth.
Now that's a was a great tune to play while I was flying down the highway towards Chicago at 10 o'clock at night. Goes great with watching the city get bigger and bigger in the windshield. Loved it, but you guys are going to make me get a speeding ticket if you keep it up!

Onto the iPod you go!
