Description
Another collab with the missus. I wrote the music and she wrote the lyrics. All came together quite nicely methinks.
Here's her explanation of the words....
Inspired by experiences and stories on the theme of tenacity, I suppose. The brilliant but incredibly dark Will Self novel, ‘How the Dead Live’, the sci-fi short story “the Ruum’ by Arthur Porges and the steadfast Gabriel Oak in Thomas Hardy’s ‘Far from the Madding Crowd’.
And my own (ultimately succesful) search for my father.
Hope you like it
This song may ( or may not) sound better on headphones
cheers

Lyrics
business you did not address
sought you out, now you’re distressed
whines and begs relentlessly
eternal and unfed
be assured
they will find you
never gone
look behind you
didn’t learn from your mistakes
thought you’d left them in your wake
but they followed you to bed
and crawled into your sleep
be assured
they will find you
never gone
look behind you
now, alone, you contemplate
how you ended in this state
close your eyes and they will come
you’ll never be alone
be assured
they will find you
never gone
look behind you
your babies all come home
and nothing’s ever gone

...yay first.
Love the chunky rhythmic guitars and bass here. Puts me slightly in mind of Alice in Chains circa "Dirt". That pounding rhythm and a cracking vocal performance. I like this a lot.
Sounds awesome on headphones.
